[ Akechi doesn't seem surprised by the mention of the Apollo mission - that part he knew - but he looks pleasantly surprised when he hears the words 'Hubble telescope'. ]
Is it?
[ That's pretty fucking cool, actually. ]
I've never seen pictures of it, just the ones that it took.
[Oh cool...he actually knows what he's talking about. That actually gets Slaine to show a little more life, becoming more and more animated as he speaks.]
It's incredible, isn't it? Did you know the pictures that were sent back from it were in black and white - they had to add in the color based on data they received. It also was unable to focus when they first launched it and they had to send up a team to more or less give it a corrective lens.
[And then, realizing he's rambling-]
Ah sorry...it's not often I meet someone who knows what I'm talking about.
[Let him live...he's a nerd. At least its not like they stumbled upon the blurays for BBC Planet Earth or some shit. If there's one thing more exciting than space to Slaine it's the natural world itself.
At least Akechi isn't telling him to shut up and seems to be listening to him. That's...nice.]
You wouldn't think it, right? But it's true. It always amazed me that people could create such a thing...granted all of Earth's tech was overshadowed by Martian tech where I'm from but still, I think it's impressive in its own right.

It's alright, no need for apologizes. I can understand being excited over something like that.
[ Not really, actually, but he'll say it anyway. ]
And while I'd heard about the lens being improperly polished, I never realized that the images were in black and white.
[ So Slaine taught him something new! ]
